The Product Owner must have a mixed technology and product background to provide thought leadership in getting various initiatives from start to finish, developing product roadmaps and ensuring they are prioritized and fed into the product team(s) through completion and delivery. He/she will collaborate with senior leadership to craft the vision and execution of both LendingWise initiatives and product direction, pushing the boundary of what technology can do to make a difference in the lending world.
What You Will Do:
- Working at the strategic level, propose innovative solutions for product direction, based on a combination of data, customer insights, intuition and experience.
- Develop and evolve product roadmaps based on business priorities and customer needs that deliver the highest value
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences
- Develop a multi-year vision for product aligned with business strategies
- Align with engineering to understand technical implementation complexities and challenges
- Work with the development team as Product Owner to cross-collaboratively develop new product features and releases
- Create, prioritize and accept user stories; incorporate them into release planning
- Develop and own metrics to monitor and quantify the impact of all product launches
Desired Skills and Experience
As Director of Product Innovation, you have:
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, product marketing or general management of a B2B product associated with CRM, lending, loan servicing, mortgage, or real estate
- Experience in interaction design, strong UI/UX understanding
- Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible business results
- Experience developing multi-year visions for products aligned with business strategies
- Work with small-to-large enterprise-level organizations to build a highly scalable product
- Strong analytical background with web analytics tools and A/B testing
- High technical aptitude with the ability to understand system architecture and meaningfully contribute to building a robust tech stack (ability to understand the tech stack conceptually, its strengths and limitations)
- The ability to easily engage in both business-focused and technically-focused conversations
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- The ability to cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters, diving into details, unfazed by technology complexity

Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a holistic understanding of LendingWise’s systems, customers and interactions (integrations) with external software entities
- Build relationships with customers to create product councils and maintain relationships with thought leaders through product council sessions and calls
- Discover opportunities for new products through research, synthesizing input from product councils, and soliciting feedback from internal teams
- Write opportunity assessments that serve as miniature business cases for presentation to the LendingWise executive team
- Help to develop financial models for high potential opportunities
- Assess business, market and customer needs and lead cross-functional product teams to find the fastest path to delivering values against those needs.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to formulate t-shirt sizing in support of prioritization
- Prepare and present prioritization materials for executive team prioritization discussions
- Become the lead Product Owner through turning high-level features into detailed user stories
- Assist product marketing to define pricing, packaging, and sales enablement
- Assist as needed with go-to-market planning
- Define product KPIs in collaboration with stakeholders
- Monitor, analyze, and report on new client and EBITDA growth
